Biography
Yasmine Tchoua is the Chief Executive Officer of the Gabon Fund for Biodiversity Preservation (FPBG), bringing over a decade of experience at the intersection of finance, governance, and conservation. A former Treasurer at Ecobank Gabon and Chief Financial Officer of the Libreville City Hall, she built a solid foundation in financial management before transitioning to environmental diplomacy and conservation finance. She has been instrumental in pioneering innovative mechanisms such as Gabon’s Blue Bonds and the Project Finance for Permanence (PFP), working with global partners including The Nature Conservancy and UNDP’s BIOFIN initiative. Her tenure as Executive Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs positioned her at the heart of high-level negotiations, notably during the One Forest Summit, reinforcing her commitment to sustainable development. Today, Yasmine leverages her expertise in finance, diplomacy, and conservation to lead FPBG’s mission of safeguarding Gabon’s natural heritage and driving global models for biodiversity preservation.
