Project K – Knowledge For Action

Summary

The project aimed at enhancing Funds’ portfolio of innovation, to diversify sources of funding to address conservation challenges and to promote knowledge and best practice transfer through peer-to-peer learning and online tools.

This was a 3-year joint project with RedLAC implemented between 2015 and 2018, with funding from FFEM,
Mava Foundation, and the GEF.

It aimed at enhancing global conservation through peer-to-peer exchanges and knowledge management among members of the two networks

It focused on these 4 components:

  1. Innovation Seed Fund to support new EFs’ financing mechanisms
  2. Capacity-building, peer-to-peer mentoring and exchange knowledge mechanism
  3. Communication and databases
  4. Institutional capacity-building for RedLAC and CAFÉ networks and their enhanced sustainability
